Two research projects are awarded grants by ECCRE

Ellen Aartun and Lise Vilstrup Holm have been awarded grants from ECCRE in 2017. This was decided by the board at their meeting in Cyprus in connection with the ECU convention in Limassol.


Ellen Aartun and her co-investigators receive EUR 55,479.00 as co-funding of their research project “Development of an ICF-based assessment schedule for manual medicine”.


Ellen Aartun and her co-investigators aim to develop an assessment schedule, which captures the complex nature of disability in patients with low back pain who are treated with manual medicine in the form of manipulation and mobilization.

Busy and inspiring days at the CARL summit

Since Monday, the 13 young CARL fellows have been fully occupied with the first of three summits.


The summit is held at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU) in Odense, Denmark. It is an inspiring mix of talks, workshops and social features, intended to bring the researchers together as a strong group within research in the chiropractic field. During the summit, the researchers have had presentations from a long line of researchers in management in theory and practice, how to construct a career as a researcher and how to become a good Head of Research.

13 young gifted researchers in the chiropractic field meet this coming week at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU) and the Institute of Chiropractic and Clinical Biomechanics (NIKKB) for a summit in the international researcher development programme Chiropractic Academy for Research Leadership (CARL). During the summit they will gather inspiration and knowledge for their continued work as researchers as well as build a strong network.
